What SLM Auto does

SLM Auto is an auto body and paint shop in Pointe-aux-Trembles. The shop restores panels, surfaces and paintwork — dents, scratches, collision damage and restoration projects — on everyday vehicles and classics alike.

04

Finish

Visual review of surfaces, alignment and reflections.

Understanding the work

Quality begins long before the final coat

Convincing body repair is about more than hiding a defect. It requires understanding the shape of the panel, the way light travels across the paint and how each part meets the next.

01

Reading the damage

Photographs and visual inspection help place the affected area in context with adjacent panels and details that may influence the assessment.

02

Surface preparation

The visible quality of a finish depends on a consistent foundation. Edges, transitions and nearby areas must be considered before paint.

03

Finish inspection

Reflections, alignment and surface variation provide important clues. Final review considers the whole vehicle area, not only the repaired spot.

From first look to finish

A clear process

For body repair, dent repair or automotive paint work in Pointe-aux-Trembles, every step helps clarify the vehicle, visible damage and repair scope before handoff.

  1. 01

    Share the details

Provide the vehicle year, make and model, then describe every damaged area. Full vehicle views, medium shots and close-ups help the shop understand visible dents, scratches, affected panels and alignment concerns.

  2. 02

    Assess the bodywork

SLM Auto reviews the information and photographs to place body or paint damage in context. An appropriate vehicle inspection can then clarify details that are difficult to confirm remotely and guide the next step.

  3. 03

    Plan the work

After the vehicle is reviewed, the scope of dent repair, panel work, preparation and paint can be clarified. The plan considers adjacent areas and details that affect the continuity of body lines and finish.

  4. 04

    Review the finish

Once the work is complete, visible surfaces, reflections, alignment and details are reviewed before handoff. This final reading considers the repaired area as a whole and how it meets the surrounding panels.

Insurance claims

After a collision, take it one step at a time

A collision already creates enough uncertainty. SLM Auto can review body and paint damage and help you prepare the useful details for the next step.

  1. 01

    Document the damage

Take a full vehicle view, medium views and clear close-ups of each affected area.

  2. 02

    Keep claim details handy

If a claim is open, keep the claim number and insurer contact information available.

  3. 03

    Clarify the repair

A vehicle assessment helps define the scope before the next step is confirmed.

Coverage terms and repair authorization remain subject to your insurer. Contact the shop to confirm the path that applies to your situation.

About SLM Auto

An independent shop, a personal story

Founded in 2013, the body shop was purchased by Pito from its original owner in 2016. Since then, SLM Auto has continued its automotive body and paint work in Pointe-aux-Trembles with a direct, attentive and personal approach.

Pito’s 1965 Chevrolet Impala reflects that same pursuit of precision. He has continued developing it over the years, adding details and refining its finish — a personal project shaped by patience and a passion for work done right.

Before requesting an estimate

Answers before the first conversation

A useful estimate request provides enough context to guide the next conversation. These are the details that make the first steps clearer.

Which photos should I provide?

A full view of the vehicle, a medium view of each affected area and several clear close-ups usually provide better context. Include adjacent panels when alignment appears affected.

Is an online estimate final?

Photographs help prepare the conversation, but some damage is difficult to see remotely. The final scope should be confirmed after the vehicle receives the appropriate review.

Can I submit several damaged areas?

Yes. Describe each area separately and pair it with clear images. Mention any change in operation, opening or alignment that you have noticed.

What happens after my request?

When the secure integration is active, SLM Auto will be able to review the submitted details and communicate the next step. No response time is promised before direct confirmation from the shop.
